Bringing small dreams to life fills my days. Ever since I was a child, I’ve loved tiny things. As an adult, I learned of the plastic qualities of metal and claimed a new love. An outcome of this is the jewelry I make. My profession is designing and creating hand-forged, fabricated jewelry which is made from raw materials like precious metal, sheet, and wire. I also use torch and kiln-fired enamels to make jewelry and paintings. It doesn’t hurt that I’m a tool geek. These elements gather that which a bountiful imagination has to offer.
I’m the Founder and President of Indy Metalsmith, hosted on Meetup.com. I wrote The Complete Idiots Guide to Making Metal Jewelry (Alpha Books) for those who wish to bring their own dreams to life in metal. Past President of the Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association and past Vice President of IDADA:TURF art installation which was presented during the Super Bowl in Indy. In another life, I worked as a Project Management Professional/Construction Manager. My husband and I live in Indianapolis near my downtown studio, where I keep an enormous collection of tools as pets.
