These are fun socks; they are knitted from gradient yarn, and that’s why they don’t look identical. However, they were indeed knitted from the same uninterrupted skein. To be more precise, I put two threads together: one white and the other — that very fun gradient skein. After I knitted the socks, I felted them in the washing machine, which made them smaller (of course) and thicker (which means warmer!).
The socks measure appr. 8.5″ from heel to toe. Depending on whether you will wear them on bare feet or on top of other socks, on how thick the socks you’d wear underneath are, and on how tight you like your socks to be, these socks will fit approximately sizes 6/6.5 – 8/8.5. My daughter, who kindly agreed to model the socks for my pictures, wears size 6.5/narrow shoes. These socks are loose on her.
I can’t wait for these socks to find a new home!
