Vendor Biography
I’m an Emmy winning video editor for TV news stations in Louisville, but I grew up in McCordsville and moved back to Indy because I love my home town. I’m an Army veteran who served in the 101st Airborne in the 187th Infantry Regiment. The unit I was in is known as the Rakkasans. The nickname “Rakkasans” is derived from the Japanese word for parachute (literally “umbrella for falling”, 落下傘). The name was given to the 187th during its tour in occupied Japan following World War II because the Japanese enemy was yelling “RAKKASAN!” (The parachutes looked like falling umbrellas.) Cool story Bro…
I love to paint and have been doing it for years but really got into it this past year because of all the time I have while being unemployed. (It’s hard to find a good full time job as a video editor here!)
I love being creative and painting helps me relax and calm down. I use it as a sort of therapy. I love good acrylic paint that goes on smooth and thick. I also really enjoy restoring and using the frames that I find at Goodwill stores. It’s much cheaper than buying new frames or canvases. All of my paintings are repurposed Goodwill art.
Thanks for checking me out! Time for you to buy one of my paintings!
